Nissan has issued a notice for the 2010 Patrol SUV across the GCC.

This is the second recall in 2010 for Nissan in the region. Earlier in March various models were recalled over faulty brake pedals and fuel gauge problems.

This time around the new Patrol which was launched in February 2010 has been found to have an issue with a circuit inside its electronic control module (ECM). This faulty circuit can break and lead to the stoppage of the fuel injection system thereby stalling the engine.

The Patrol SUVs affected by this issue are those with Vehicle Identification Numbers (VIN) between A9000112 to A90004207. Owners can locate the VIN plate on the driver’s door and the dashboard.

Nissan is requesting UAE owners with affected vehicles to contact them on the following numbers 02 449 2596 (Abu Dhabi and Al Ain) or 800 NISSAN (647726 (Dubai and Northern Emirates). Nissan will replace the faulty part free of cost at its service centres.
