Lamborghini recalls Murcielago over fire risk

2007 and 2008 models of Murcielago LP640 are affected

Lamborghini has recalled models of its Murcielago supercar because of concerns over a fire risk.

The 2007 and 2008 L640 Coupe and Roadster models have a welding spot on the fuel pump support inside the fuel tank that could detach, potentially causing a slow fuel leak.

On these vehicles the fuel tank has to be replaced. The issue affects around 400 Murcielagos world wide, including the Middle East.

Owners are being notified and are requested to contact an authorised Lamborghini dealer.
