Ramadan Super Prix Challenge returns in Al Ain

The ’s Al Ain Raceway kart track will be holding its second annual next month.

The four-round championship, open to all, follows a successful first year in 2009 and offers entrants the chance to win flights to Europe, a TV, a hotel stay or a tour of the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi.

Each race takes place from 10pm to avoid the worst heat of the day and will consist of a 10-minute practice session followed by two 20-minute sprint races. The first race is on Friday, August 13 and subsequent rounds will be on the following three Friday nights.

The cost is 400AED per round, with advance booking necessary to secure a place. Those booking all four rounds once get one race for free, while those paying for a single round seven days in advance will save 50AED.

The overall winner of the series will win an Etihad flight to a European destination of their choice, while other prizes include a 32-inch Sony TV, a stay for two at the Hilton hotel and two tickets for a tour of Yas Marina Circuit.

Al Ain Raceway is running several offers over Ramadan and Eid, including three for two offers on arrive and drives on Monday and Tuesday, and the chance to drive the International circuit for the price of the shorter Indy circuit during the Eid holidays.
