sets up new operations for Middle East, and India

Luxury carmaker Aston Martin has created a new operation especially for Middle East, North Africa and India.

The new subsidiary, Aston Martin Middle East, North Africa and India (Ammena) has been created owing to the growing importance of the region in the company’s growth plans.

Moreover since Kuwaiti sovereign wealth fund Investment Dar has been a major shareholder in Aston Martin since 2007, it further increases the carmaker’s focus on the Middle East.

The new operation will be led by Mark Kenworthy with its head office in either Dubai, Kuwait or Bahrain. With the creation of the new subsidiary Aston Martin is aiming to increase sales in the Middle East to 400-500 cars per annum in the medium term, up from 150 cars which were sold in the region during 2009.
