Hyundai has unveiled an improved 2011 model of the Genesis Coupe. Apart from a revamped interior which features on all variants, the 2011 Genesis Coupe range will be joined by a performance oriented 3.8-litre V6 R-spec model.

This model features the standard 306bhp V6 engine mated to a six-speed manual transmission and no automatic option. It rides on a stiffer suspension and 19-inch alloy wheels and boasts of a Brembo brake package.

Other highlights include a limited slip differential and sports seats. Hyundai has also worked on reducing the weight of the R-Spec model by eliminating some non-essential equipment such as the automatic headlights, cruise control and some chrome/metal interior accents.

All 2011 Genesis Coupe models will get a refinished interior with soft-touch, matte-finish surfaces along with softer leather on the steering wheel and new chrome trim on the shifter knob, centre stack knobs and gauge cluster rings.

There is no official word from Hyundai on the launch of the R-spec 2011 Genesis Coupe in the Middle East but we do expect it to make its way to the region soon after its international launch.
