2010 Dodge Caliber | 25000 units recalled in June 2010 due to faulty accelarator padels

25,265 units of 2007 model year Caliber recalled due to faulty accelerator padels

Chrysler has announced a of 2007 model year  cars in the U.S. due to sticky accelerator pedals.

The issue is similar to that in Toyota vehicles but is a mechanical one and not design-related.

The speed with which Chrysler actioned recall is proof enough of auto makers’ sensitivity to public relations debacle that can be caused by delayed actions as seen in case of Toyota a few months ago. Chrysler said the recall involved 25,265 Dodge Calibers and that the fault can be rectified by parts replacement.

At this time there is no information whether this recall affects Dodge Calibers sold in the Middle East. We will update this story as more information becomes available.
