The Focus is ’s compact car, which is hugely popular in Europe but has seen only modest sales in the Middle East. Currently in its second generation, the Focus was revamped in 2008 to keep it fresh until the third generation model arrives in 2011. Available during 2010 only as a more popular five-door , the Focus features European design cues and is based on Ford’s kinetic design theme, which gives it the latest Ford family look.

The front-wheel drive Focus is powered by a base 101bhp, 1.6-litre engine while a larger 146bhp, 2.0-litre engine is also available. Both engines can be had either with a five-speed manual or a four-speed automatic transmission. The Focus has always been hailed for its direct handling and good ride comfort while the 2.0-litre version offers spirited performance as well.

The top-end Titanium variant is nicely loaded and features 17-inch alloy wheels, automatic projector headlamps, front fog lamps and a leather-wrapped steering wheel, as well as sports-style front seats, premium upholstery, ambient lighting and cruise control. Safety additions include traction control, front seat side and curtain airbags.

Standard safety kit includes dual front airbags and ABS. Options include LED taillights, CD changer, USB audio connector and a keyless starter button, as well as xenon adaptive headlights, tyre pressure monitor, sunroof, fog lights, a 230-volt power inverter, side airbags and side thorax airbags.
