Dodge has reportedly changed its logo to reflect a sporty character.

The logo incorporates two stripes which are reminiscent of the sign for the SRT performance version of the brand’s cars.

The new logo has been endorsed by Dodge CEO Ralph Gilles, according to Automotive News, and will be used for all Dodge vehicles beginning with the 2011 .

The need for a new logo was necessitated by the split between Dodge’s car and truck divisions last year. A modified version of the old Dodge logo will now be used exclusively by the Ram pick-up while Dodge cars will move to the new logo.

The slashes will not feature on Dodge vehicles themselves but will be used on all marketing collateral, advertising and signage, worldwide.
