Hummer H3 and H3T face recall in the UAE
Hummer’s most popular model in the UAE, the H3,is being recalled by GM due to a faulty bonnet louvre.
GM Middle East spokesman Fouad Hammad told The National newspaper that almost all of the 3,500 H3 and H3T models which were sold in the UAE from 2006-2010 are affected and will be recalled for fixing the problem.
The faulty louvre can become loose and break off while driving, thus posing a safety hazard to other vehicles on the road. The bonnet louvre does not solve any mechanical purpose on the H3 and H3T and is purely ornamental. GM claims that the problem is not serious and the part will be changed in under an hour and free of cost by authorised Hummer dealers across the UAE.
