The 2011 is just one model in a rejuvenated product line-up

Motors has announced an expansion plan for the aimed at increasing presence across the country.

The investment will be channelled through the South Korean carmaker’s importer for the UAE. Al Majid Motors will invest about 150 million AED in opening new showrooms, service and storage facilities and improving spare parts inventory.

110 million AED will be invested in a new showroom and service facility in Abu Dhabi’s Musaffah area while the Dubai showroom will be expanded by the end of May with an investment of 6 million AED.

Another major investment is planned in Ras Al Khaimah, where a new 29 million AED showroom and service facility will be set up by the end of 2010.

Kia is hoping that these initiatives will help improve access to the brand and better the owner experience. Moreover the investment has been committed despite falling sales in the UAE which dropped 35 percent last year and don’t seem to be improving so far in 2010 either.
