Hyundai’s 2011 Elantra revealed

Hyundai has upped its game with new generation models such as the latest Sonata, Tucson and the Genesis which are competing effectively in their respective segments. Now the Korean carmaker has set its sights on the compact sedan segment with the next generation Elantra. Captured by a spy photographer in Korea this image shows the new Hyundai sedan which bears a strikingly similar design cues to the larger Sonata including the fluid design theme, peeled back headlamps and grille. An earlier spy picture also reveals the car’s interior. There is no news yet on when the new Elantra would make its international debut but we expect it to be later in 2010. When launched the new Elantra will compete head on with established Japanese rivals including the Honda Civic and the Toyota Corolla.
