2010 Honda Civic Type R is now available in UAE

Honda announced the launch of its iconic Civic Type R hot hatch and the 2010 Civic 5-door hatch in the UAE. The two Civic variants are in addition to the sedan option already available in the market.

The Civic Type R gets a 2.0 liter i-VTEC engine under its hood while a 1.8 liter i-VTEC powerplant is mounted on the Civic hatch. A 6 speed manual transmission on the Type R as against a 5 speed auto on the Civic hatch is mated to the powerplant.

One standard variant of each – the hatch and Type R is currently being sold in the UAE. AED 95000 will get you the hatch but for the hot Type R, one needs to shell out AED 115000.
