put an end to recent speculation that Felipe Massa would be brought back to the team in the Formula One Abu Dhabi Grand Prix at the end of this month.

The Italian team confirmed that Massa who is recuperating after and horrific accident in July, will not take to the track in the last race of the season at Abu Dhabi on November 1.

In a statement Ferrari announced that “talk of a proper return to can wait until the start of the 2010 season”, while revealing that Massa’s latest medical check-up in Paris was “rather positive”.

As a sign of rapid recovery, Massa returned to Maranello for the first time since the crash where he spent some time in the simulator before hitting the track in a privately-owned F2007 race car to brush up his skills. He also visited the Ferrari production line to check out the new 458 Italia.
