The is the Japanese company’s best selling model, with a heritage going back to 2004.

That first generation of Mazda3 picked up almost 100 awards during its time and the second generation 2010 model is all new, with radical styling and a promise of a product that’s fun to drive.

The car is available in the region in both sedan and five-door forms. Power comes from a 1.6-litre, four-cylinder engine producing 105bhp and 145Nm of torque, attached to either a five speed manual transmission in the entry level sedan, or a four-speed automatic on other models.

There are five different variants of Mazda3 available, depending on the country. The sedan is available in three trims and the hatch in two.

The mid-range sedan, the V, adds 16-inch alloy wheels, a rear spoiler, silver instruments inside, leather shift knob and steering wheel (which also features audio controls) and an uprated stereo in some countries.

The top of the range sedan in Saudi Arabia only is the R, which comes with automatic wipers, folding side mirrors, sunroof, cruise control and sportier cloth seat upholstery.
