If you’re interested in a luxury mid-size sedan, then the 5-Series from is a very good place to start – it’s one of the few cars that can really be called a benchmark.

This large and imposing car that must, above everything else, deliver its passengers in completely unruffled style offers some of the best space and comfort options in its class. With this fifth generation incarnation, BMW have worked even harder on the 2009 to make the very most of the inner space, be that in the front, but also very importantly, in the rear passenger area.

The almost boxy four-door saloon makes the most of its proportions with a fairly tall roof and a wide chassis; the boot is also much larger than the previous models.

This current range of 5-Series cars has been with us since 2004 and is due for a complete rethink very soon, but in the meantime BMW has spruced-up the range along the years to the current day, so if you do decide to buy a 5-Series in 2009, you can be assured of a very well refined car, that has all of its initial launch kinks completely worked out by now, and will offer you all the quality and reliability you could ever wish for.

The 5-Series interior is right up there with the best of the best, focused as it is, around the driver, making them feel safely in command of the this big car, but also ensuring that the passengers have the room they need to stretch out and relax.

And, as usual with BMW, all of the interior space will be presented in the finest of understated fashions, with the latest in electronic and comfort thrown into the mix in a way that only these European manufacturers have managed to accomplish with such stunning success. The BMW 5-Series will always make you feel safe, secure and somewhat special.

There is a massive choice of engine options from BMW, something that every buyer finds attractive from a brand – you really can choose a model of car to exactly suit your needs and budget. There is a frugal 2.5-litre, 188bhp motor, ranging to a rather more interesting 4-litre, 302bhp unit, leaping all the way up to the incredible 5-litre, V10, M5 engine that churns out an entirely impressive 500bhp and 520Nm of torque. If dispatching motorways with serious pace and presence is your thing, then the mighty M5 might just be the ultimate car for you.

Many say that once you have bought BMW that there is no turning back to other brands, and the 5-Series just might be the very reason why.

Saddly, You can say This is the last and the best M5 so far. So, the owners of this model, never sell it. You have got the best engine BMW has ever built, unadultrated !. Shame the new M5 may have more power figures, but what makes the hair on your arms and neck to standing ovation to the music of THE ENGINE !. I could go on, but rest, I leave to your imagination…(those who have driven will agree….)
