Maserati Unveils GranTurismo MC Corse Concept

Maserati
has pulled the covers off a new concept based on the GranTurismo S.
Christened, Maserati GranTurismo MC Corse Concept, the Italian
manufacturer of ultra-luxury sports cars has beefed up the car for
exclusive track use.
Under
the hood, the MC Corse Concept sports the same 4.7-litre V8 unit that
powers the GranTurismo S – except that it makes 430bhp in the stock
form while has a 20bhp bump (450bhp) in the concept. Racing-specs as
well as a roll cage for use in the track rounds off the MC Corse
package.
Maserati
has announced that it will unveil a new model at the 2008 Paris Motor
Show taking place in a few days from now, although it is no quite
clear whether this new concept will be that one or perhaps the
Italian with the trident has something else up their sleeves…
