      Hi,
We normally do not interact with the HR team at any brand and would not know anyone directly at Honda HR. I suggest you pick up the phone and call Honda Jebel Ali Office and you should be able to find out who is the right person to talk to on this matter.
      Good luck.

    Hello,

I have purchased a 2011 Pilot from Abdullah Hashim in Saudi Arabia around 1 month back. To my surprise, whenever I accelerate, a bad smell comes from the AC vents (smell like carbon/Sulphate), which is really annoying.

I contacted the dealer and was requested to take the vehicle to the Service center as they need to close some vents (not sure nor convinced why and what they are doing). Went and dropped the car for the day and when i picked it, the same smell is still there and they requested another visit.

Can you please advise if this is a common problem for the Pilot? is it repairable? as i cannot accept a brand new Honda with such a defect.

Awaiting your feedback on the same where i need to resolve the Issue once and for good.

Thank you for your support and feedback.

    Regs

      Hi Jad,

You need to understand what they did. Looks like some exhaust is coming in to the air con system, and probably they have fixed – that I guess from their saying some vents need to be closed.

Trouble is that the smell has already settled in to the Cabin Air Filter and this should also be changed to get rid of the smell, assuming there is no further fumes somehow getting into this area.

You should have a word with the Honda dealer service guys and understand what they did and this will give a better idea on what is going on.

We have not heard this being a regular issue with Honda Pilot.

      All the best.
