Mercedes-Benz A-Class

Posted on June 30, 2009 by Editor

Daimler has revealed
their electric-car program. The company’s CEO Dieter Zetsche has
confirmed that they will launch two electric vehicles in the market
by 2010 of which one will be an electric version of the company’s
Smart car while the other will be badged and sold as a Mercedes-Benz.

The company has not yet
revealed whether the new cars will be based on existing cars or on a
completely new platform? Mercedes-Benz currently has the A-Class as
well as the B-Class sub-compacts under their line-up and we think
this could be the ideal candidates for such a makeover.

Daimler currently runs a
fleet of 100 electric Smart ‘test-cars’ in London city.
