Skoda fabia

Even though it is to be replaced this year, the Fabia already meets international safety regulations that are not yet in force. It ranked first in the European NCAP and won four stars. For instance, crash tests were performed at a speed of up to 64 km/h, even if the regulations require only 48 km/h. This higher impact speed increases the requirements on the retention systems up to two-fold and the ability of the body to absorb the impact not only from the impacts. It was confirmed that the body of the Fabia is an extraordinarily firm and safe area for the passengers. Moreover, in case of an accident, upon activation of the airbags, the electrical circuits and fuel pump are automatically switched off in order to prevent short-circuit and hence fire and explosion
The Fabia comes in three derivatives – hatchback, sedan and combi – with two trim levels, Classic and Comfort. According to the engine, ABS, MSR or perhaps ASR is installed as standard equipment or available as an option. Engine options include a 1.2 HTP (High Torque Performance) engine developing 54bhp. For drivers who prefer a more dynamic driving style, there is also the 1.4/68bhp (only hatchback) and the 1.4/100bhp (for the Combi and Sedan version). If you prefer sports style driving, you will certainly be satisfied with the powerful 2.0-litre engine which makes 116 horsepower.
If you are one of those drivers that are used to classic manual transmission, choose the mechanical gearbox, which is standard for all the offered engines.
Drawing heavily on the parts bins of parent company Volkswagen but putting Skoda’s own identity firmly on the finished product, the brand’s supermini makes friend’s of all those who drive it.
