Chery to launch 5 new models in uae
Chery will launch 5 new cars in the United Arab Emirates this year. One of China’s leading manufacturer of passenger cars, Chery Automobiles has ambitious plans to achieve a worldwide sales goal of 1 million units by 2010. With the recent agreement plan between Chery and Chrysler to build
small cars for worldwide sales, the Chinese manufacturer hopes to reach
out to a wider audience globally. The company sold close to 305,000 units globally last year and the million mark should be quite an achievable target.
Marketed and sold by KAT, a wholly owned subsidiary of KM Holding, Chery offers a range of affordable cars in the UAE. Cars planned for the United Arab Emirates this year include an entry level compact, a mid-size sedan, a luxury coupe, a SUV and a Crossover.
“We are very pleased with the interest shown by customers from different age groups, wanting to know more about the different models available here,” said Ali Huang, General Manager of KAT. “The special pricing and free registration has helped boost the sale of the models in the country,” he added.
